Introducing Virtual Styling by Megan Evans

When the world shut down in March, I was just gearing up for my busy season, the launch of the latest rendition of my website and to spread my new Healing with Style message with my Nashville clients. But the universe seemed to have another plan — not just for me, but for everyone in the world, and I had to pivot.

I began virtual styling for a few people as much out of necessity for them as for myself. I had done it before, but never at this scale. Quickly I found out that I could still help clients edit their closets, style looks, and find new pieces. While I was no longer physically present in their closets, it felt like I was, as we went through their pieces together one-by-one via a video call. Not only was it incredibly effective, but I was able to be much more present too. Instead of running around, switching out hangers and bagging piles of clothes, I was taking more thorough notes for my follow-ups. In turn, clients were getting more from me and gaining more value.

I started working with women in Atlanta, Austin, New Jersey, even Orange County. Women I never would have been able to reach before. I was helping them shift the way they look at their clothes and get dressed – continuing always to build confidence in my clients from the outside in.

Through my work with my new virtual clients, I began to identify 3 categories of things that these women kept asking me for:

  1. Help with defining their style. They weren’t sure what silhouettes and pieces worked best for their bodies. Colors, necklines, high-waisted jeans or mid-rise. They didn’t know what length their dresses should be hemmed to or what patterns looked best.
  2. A closet edit. Some women had many clothes but felt like they had nothing to wear and weren’t sure how to put it all together. They needed to let go of closet baggage and restyle what they already owned to figure out what they might still need to add.
  3. Shopping and styling. Other women had clothes that were no longer serving them due to lifestyle changes or body transitions, and they needed to add some new pieces and style looks with them.

Every woman I encountered and worked with seemed to need help with one of these three things. That’s when I realized I was onto something that truly works, and I can really help women in a new and innovative way.

Prior to 2020, I never would have thought of switching my business to all virtual. It literally NEVER crossed my mind. I loved working with my clients in their closets and touching and feeling the fabrics, throwing clothes on their beds to play with. But with the benefits I have discovered working virtually, it feels fresh and exciting and gives me a new joy in the work I have been doing for over a decade.

From now on, all of my services will be virtual. If you aren’t sure which styling package would be best for you, my team and I have created a Style Quiz to help you figure out the best place to start. I’m also offering free 15-minute phone consultations to see if we are the right fit for each other and to get you started with the package that best suits YOU.

I look forward to working with you and getting to know your style and your style needs.

Healing with Style,
